Paws for a CausePopp’s Ferry Elementary The Popp’s Ferry NEHS chapter raised $640 for The Humane Society of South Mississippi. Members sold paper paws to classmates for $1 each. Paws were displayed in the cafeteria for everyone to see. To prepare for the fundraisers, members took a tour of the shelter, completed an envelope challenge and raised $55 each. After the tour, members made videos that were played on the daily school news to promote the fundraiser. Videos featured a tour of the shelter and staff members and their rescued animals. The class that purchased the most paws won a visit from one of the shelter pets. |
