It’s never too early to instill the values of compassionate leadership in your students—and the National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS) can help you do just that. Through the fundamentals of responsibility and service, an NEHS chapter equips your young learners with the skills and confidence to become role models for your entire student body.

NEHS gives students a springboard to leadership and success throughout their academic careers. Younger students also look up to your budding leaders, motivating your entire student body and uplifting your school culture.

Building Culture and Service

NEHS fosters character development and future academic success by encouraging a service mindset—putting young members on the path to becoming well-rounded individuals. In fact, NEHS members contribute an average of 325 hours to school and community service each year.

Living the Four Key Pillars

By introducing the pillars of scholarship, responsibility, service, and leadership early on, NEHS promotes a positive school climate and places ambitious young students on a strong trajectory. Through exploration of each pillar, members learn the importance of personal responsibility and giving back to the community.
