Bring NEHS Back for Your Students

The National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS) has been hard at work creating even better resources for you and your student leaders—like the all-new Flex Guide for distance learning. Use it as your quick-reference manual for virtual member selection, faculty council meetings, and more.

When you reignite your NEHS chapter, you help your leaders build a sense of responsibility and service that they can use throughout their academic journey.

Creating Future Leaders

NEHS gives students a springboard to leadership and success throughout their academic careers. Younger students also look up to your budding leaders, motivating your entire student body and uplifting your school culture.

Building Culture and Service

NEHS fosters character development and future academic success by encouraging a service mindset—putting young members on the path to becoming well-rounded individuals. In fact, NEHS members contribute an average of 325 hours to school and community service each year.

Living the Four Key Pillars

By introducing the pillars of scholarship, responsibility, service, and leadership early on, NEHS promotes a positive school climate and places ambitious young students on a strong trajectory. Through exploration of each pillar, members learn the importance of personal responsibility and giving back to the community.

Supporting Your Chapter Adviser

In recent years, NEHS has developed all-new resources to equip chapter advisers with everything they need to run an effective and efficient chapter. Advisers can find chapter management tools and templates in the robust online Adviser Resource Center and receive customized support from trained national staff by phone or email.
  • "I appreciate the opportunity to engage the elementary students in this program! I think it's very valuable to expose them to responsibilities and expectations of excellence early so they can carry it to middle school and beyond."
