Following the spirit of the Outstanding Service Project (OSP) awards given to chapters of the National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society, the National Elementary Honor Society Outstanding Service Project awards program has been created to recognize NEHS chapters that make significant school or community service contributions at the local level. Each award year, five NEHS service projects will be selected among the submissions to be recognized with an Outstanding Service Project award. Each winning chapter will receive a plaque and will be recognized in upcoming NEHS publications.
The application process will reopen in September 2018. NEHS chapters with current affiliation and who were active for the duration of the project term may submit an application by December 1 each year. Projects must have been completed during the 2017-2018 school year. Only one application may be submitted per school.
