NEHS Affiliation Benefits

The nation’s newest student recognition program, NEHS recognizes outstanding students in elementary school and involves its student members and chapters in promoting responsibility among all students, building stronger leaders, and serving the school and community. Affiliation benefits include:

Newsletter provides advisers and students with practical service project ideas, training strategies, and leadership lessons. Quarterly.

This emailed newsletter is distributed on a quarterly basis to all active NEHS advisers and principals. Content provides direct links to news, resources, and events relevant to all chapters and supplements content provided through NEHS News. To receive the newsletter, a current email addresses must be provided using the annual renewal form or by emailing

Access to the Adviser Zone at, offering information and tools to promote the ideals of scholarship, responsibility, leadership, and service; chapter management tools; and opportunities to network and share ideas.

New! Coadviser
Schools may choose to use more than one adviser to manage their NEHS chapter. For your convenience, we now offer the option to include up to two (2) advisers. For an additional fee of only $30, you can include one coadviser who will receive our publications, be included in all e-mail lists for our e-newsletters and notifications, and have access to the Adviser Zone and Store on our Web site. Be sure to include your coadviser’s name and e-mail address.

Chapter affiliation certificate
Sent to the principal each year; student member certificates available for purchase from the NEHS sales office.

Membership/ID cards
Sent each fall to the chapter adviser; student membership cards available for purchase from the NEHS sales office.

Available from the national staff to answer questions and offer guidance and support regarding issues related to selection, recognition, and chapter obligations.
